I have indexed the name Paccione from the Birth, Marriage and Death records of Toritto, Bari. The filmed records begin with births in 1803 and go thru the year 1900.  The Family History Center has digitized the records from 1901 to 1929.  The are available at https://familysearch.org/search/collection/2043445

The intent of the site is to help us connect with our immigrant ancestors.  The site does not list living people. It's my hope you will find the names of your grandparents and great-grandparents.

If there is an exact death, birth or marriage date that means I actually saw the record. BUT!!!  The date is  often the date the record was recorded. In most instances the birth may have been a day or two before.

The marriage dates are from the date recorded by the clerk, not the exact date of the marriage.   I've also used  the date the banns were posted.  The couple may actually have married a few weeks later.

MANY OF THE RECORDS ARE HARD TO READ BECAUSE OF HANDWRITING OR CONDITION. CHECK THE LIST OF LAST NAMES - I COULD HAVE MISINTERPRETED THE SPELLING!

Castoro could be Castori (possibly the clerk didn't know the correct spelling)

The best way to work the site is to use the NAME INDEX under PEOPLE.  If you have a Michele (and there are many!), look for the name of his parents or wife to see if you have the correct ancestor.
